Daniel McKee (‘Mac’) Scoggins died peacefully at home in Loganville, Georgia on Tuesday October 23, 2018. Mac was born on June 7, 1937 in Atlanta, Georgia. He served in the Army during the Korean War.  He coached football and baseball as a volunteer for almost 30 years and impacted hundreds, if not, thousands of young people’s lives.  Two of those teams won Pop Warner National Championships.  He went on to win volunteer of the year awards from Dekalb, County, the State of Georgia, finally the Southeast Region of the United States. In recent years, his faith was very important to him and he inspired many people.  Mac was a very loving and generous person.  He was a devoted husband; an awesome father, a proud brother, and a doting grandfather/great grandfather to many grand/great grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Lilburn Christian Church on Saturday, October 27, 2018.  Lilburn Christian Church is located at 314 Arcado Road, Lilburn, GA 30047. Pastor Tony Dyer will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mac's life. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, please donate to https://pages.teamintraining.org/ga/wdw19/SScoggins (a fundraising organization that supports cancer research via the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society).
