David Louis Miller

David Louis Miller, age 86, passed away on September 24, 2023. He was born in Escanaba, MI and was the second oldest of 10 children. David graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in 1956 and on February 18, 1958, he joined the Navy. After serving in the US Navy for 4 years and two more years in the reserves, he met his wife, Claudia Ann Walczak, whom he asked to marry on their first date and remained married for over 60 years. He worked at General Motors in Michigan while putting himself through Cleary College, where he earned a bachelor’s in business administration in 1968. Along the way, he and Claudia had 2 sons, David, and Christopher. For most of his life, he worked in sales. During this period, he sold office supplies and developed territories in Michigan and in 1972, moved the family to Vero Beach, Florida where he developed the Southeast for Albin Industries. In 1977, he and Claudia gave birth to their daughter, Lindsay. In 1983, he moved the family back to Michigan for a short period before settling in Georgia, where he sold insurance for over 30 years. He had a great work ethic and worked until 7 months of his passing.

David had the gift to gab and was also an avid reader, his library contained hundreds of books. He could talk to you about anything, the Civil War being his favorite topic. At times, he was a little unfiltered as speaking his mind was his attribute. David had lived a full life. He was a very good family man and was never short on providing life lessons. He loved his family and would always be seen in the stands supporting his children and grandchildren. David is survived by his wife Claudia, sons David and Christopher, daughter Lindsay, 9 grandchildren, David, Megan, Michael, Tyler, Avery, Ashley, Lucas, Christian, and Grace and 3 great grandchildren Thomas, Charlie and Arabella.

A rosary and memorial mass will be held on October 10th at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville, GA.
