Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. CandleImageGod greeted you Davy, into His Kingdom. Your work on Earth complete. You will be greatly missed but always in our heart. God Bless Benita & the Sawyer family… Until we meet again – Love Ya Man!!

  2. CandleImageDavy was a great friend growing up in Avondale. So many great memories with him and the rest of the family. My thoughts and prayers for Davy and his family.

  3. Our family has been neighbors and friends with the Sawyer Family since 1996, and we loved Dave. He was always outside ready to happily greet us whether that was meeting us in the cul de sac or waving us over to his driveway to have a seat and chat with him. Each of us experienced having meaningful and thought-provoking discussions with Dave. He loved talking! He was always ready to offer his perspective on things along with wisdom, advice and encouragement.

When I think of Dave I think of a “family man.” He loved his family with a burning passion! He always spoke highly of his beautiful bride, Benita. He adored Camrea, dearly loved Tyler, and I know he loved Taylor too. His granddaughters were his pride and joy, and he LIT UP whenever he came over to our house with Rease.

The cul de sac is already not the same without him. It’s so quiet and sad. We’ve lost a great man that loved his family, friends and neighbors fiercely. We look forward to seeing him again one day in heaven. Our hope is in Christ alone.
“We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.”
