DAVIS Harry Clyde "Buddy" Davis, 89, residing at Park Springs Communities in Stone Mountain, GA passed away Tuesday September 18, 2012 at Emory Hospice from natural causes. Buddy was born March 12, 1923 in the Oakland City Neighborhood in Atlanta, GA. Predeceased by parents Harry Clyde Davis, Sr. and Tommie Howard Davis and older sister, Helen Davis Keith. Buddy graduated Tech High in 1940 joined the US Navy in 1940 and served in WWII and Korea, in 1942 married Virginia Wooten Davis who preceded him in death in 1995. Buddy was a professional Licensed Plumber and Foreman, member of Plumbers & Pipe fitters Union #72 and retired in 1988. Buddy is survived by wife, Joyce Paulk Davis, Stone Mtn., daughter, Elaine Davis Edwards and son- in- law Roy Edwards, Cartersville, son, Gregory Lee Davis and daughter- in- law Elaine Harris Davis, Lawrenceville, daughter, Susan Davis Pece and son- in- law Jerry Pece, Douglasville, step son Jake Paulk and step daughter-in-law Sara Paulk, Alpharetta, step son, Mike Paulk and step daughter- in- law Nickey Hennings, Atlanta, younger brother, Harold Eugene Davis, Union City, GA grandchildren, Brian & Cheri Edwards, Cartersville, Alan Edwards, Charlotte, NC, Chad & Olivia Edwards, Charlotte, NC, Brett & Heather Davis, Cumming, Ga, Heather & Travis McCullough, Soldotna, Alaska, Katie Pece, Canton, GA, Allison Pece, Vinings, GA, step grandchildren, Charles & Sarah Paulk , Alpharetta, 10 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Buddy will be held Thursday September 20, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Wages & Sons Funeral Home 1040 Main St. Stone Mountain, GA 30083. The family will receive friends Wednesday September 19th from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday from Noon until 1:00 pm at Wages & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be at Westview Cemetery West End Atlanta. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Missionary Aviation Repair Center Account: MCC08 P.O.     I was so sad to hear of your dads’ death. I visited with him back in July at the birthday party for Gladys and it was so nice to see him again.
