Don McCurdy age 75 of Decatur passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014. Services are 2 pm Saturday, March 22, 2014 from Wages & Sons Chapel. Visitation will be 1pm until the service hour. Surviving are sister Alice McCurdy of Griffin and twin brother Dan McCurdy of Stone Mtn. Sister in Law Carolyn McCurdy of Monticello GA. Nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews survive.

My love and prayers are with all of you. I was so very fond of Don and knew him for many, many years. I’m so sorry that I’m not able to be with you at this time due to family health issues. Know that I care; Alice and Dan, I think of you often.
Alice, Dan and Carolyn:
Offering our deepest sympathy on the passing of your brother and brother-in-law, Don. I had know Don from a little girl and always had so much respect for his family. May God be with each one of you at this trying time and know that he is now out of his suffering and walking on those beautiful streets of Gold with our maker and we shall see him again.
Not many people knew Don as we know you. We know him and love him through you. Yet when we enter the beautiful gates of our Lord’s heaven, we will know him. Perhaps he will run to us and laugh with us. He will take us to Helen and your Dad, to Bobby and Jean and Sonny and for you Alice, best of all, to Mac. What a day it will be. . . and Dan, get ready for Don to want to run with you in a foot race. I love you, man, but I will put my wager on him. Til’ then we are all praying for you as you journey through these dark days once more.
