It is with heavy hearts and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Donna Marie Riggs Davis. She departed peacefully at home on December 12, surrounded by her closest family, with no pain or suffering. Donna, born and raised in Miami, Florida, leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and laughter that will forever be cherished.
Donna began her professional journey at Bell South, where she contributed her skills and dedication. Later, she worked alongside Dr. Thomas Bantly, making a difference in the lives of those she served. In her most recent employment, Donna chose to dedicate herself to her community, first at a charitable bakery and later as a secretary at Crosspoint Church. Her commitment to service was evident even in her final weeks, as she retired only four weeks before her passing, insisting on continuing to serve until the very end.
A devout Christian, Donna’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She is now home with the Lord, her spirit at peace. Donna found joy in the simple pleasures of life, being an avid reader and relishing moments at the beach and boating on Georgia’s many beautiful lakes. Her infectious laughter and the warmth she exuded made every person she knew feel good about themselves.
Donna was known for her unwavering loyalty, kindness, generosity, and empathy. As a mother, she was unparalleled, and her two sons, Evan and Clint Davis, were blessed to have her as their guiding light. Donna’s love and spirit will live on in the hearts and smiles of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her two sons, Evan and Clint Davis, and her niece, Beverly Guidry. She was preceded in death by her father, Authur Riggs, her mother, June Riggs, her sister, Debbie Bone, and her brother Arthur Richard Riggs Jr. Donna’s memory will be celebrated at a memorial service at Crosspoint Church, 1800 Satellite Blvd NW, Duluth, GA 30097, on Saturday, January 27th, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Special Kneads and Treats Bakery, reflecting Donna’s commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others and to charity.
As we say our goodbyes, let us remember Donna with love and gratitude for the joy and inspiration she brought into our lives. May she rest in eternal peace. She was legendary.

Donna was the kindest, sweetest woman with amazing taste in snacks. I will always remember her fondly.
I will always remember Donna. She and I used to do comedy skits together at Pine Lake Baptist and had so much fun! She was always a pleasure to be around. She was loved by so many, but now she is in the presence of the one who loved her most. She is at peace, and I know I will see her again one day!
Dearest Donna, I am profoundly sad, but I’m grateful that we got to say all
The important things in the last few
Weeks. We thought we would have longer, but I’m glad you passed without pain.

A bright moment in life every time I saw her.
Donna was a super person and a great friend to share a laugh with. Donna was so easy to talk with and she could brighten your day as you shared stories. It was always fun sharing with her the enjoyment received in watching and listening to her and her skit partners doing their skit. They were great.
Your Celebration of Life was beautiful. You would have been so proud of your precious boys. I will always remember our friendship, our kids growing up together at Pine Lake and Our skits as Maybelle Ray Poovey and Pearly May Poovey. You were a one of the kind lifelong friend. I love you!
I am so sad. I have been looking for Donna for years and find that I was to late. Donna and her family brought me so many smiles, laughter and good times. She was the best neighbor and friend. My condolences to Evan and Clint
I hope you remember me from Stonewycke Lane. Cindy Turner
