Doris Jean Watts Abrams, age 89, of Lilburn, Georgia, passed away December 12th, 2018. Doris was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sharon Ann Abrams, her sister Lorraine Wilson along with her parents Thomas Frank Watts and Helen Watts. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Chuck Abrams; son Steve (Donna) Abrams; daughter Shirley (David) Merriwether; granddaughters Katie (Sean) McGinnis; Karen (Andrew) Harmon; grandsons Zach (fiancée Kate Franklin) Abrams and Nick Abrams. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, Ruby McGinnis, Hall Harmon, Merrit (Minnie) McGinnis and Watts Harmon. A memorial service is planned at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, Georgia on Sunday December 16th, 2018 at 1:00pm. Family will receive friends Sunday, December 16th, 2018 at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a charitable donation be made in memory of Doris Abrams and in Nick Abrams’ honor to the Friends U Need Club at www.friendsuneed.org which supports the Special Needs community in the Gwinnett area.

  4. I have just learned of this very special ladies passing. I have the most fond memories of her special love and care as neighbors for a number of years! Thoughts and prayers are with Chuck and family. I know she and my Ed are having great conversations in heaven.
