Resided in: Suwanee, GA

E.E. "Brauny" Braunbeck, Jr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2015.  Brauny was born in Binghamton, NY on March 20, 1943.  He moved with his family to Virginia, where he attended Fork Union Military Academy and met his future wife, Frances Hammer.  Brauny and Fran married on February 22, 1964. Brauny began a rewarding career in the insurance industry in 1968.  He founded two businesses:  Life and Health Insurance Marketers and Braunbeck Insurance Agency, and was a successful independent general agent and agency field representative with Columbian Insurance Company for more than 30 years. When Brauny wasn't enjoying his quiet Suwanee home, he loved to travel.  Recently, Brauny happily planned and enjoyed a 10,300-mile cross-country golden anniversary road trip with Fran, visiting and celebrating their 50 years of marriage with family and friends around the U.S. Brauny loved his family deeply - and he loved life.  He had a big personality, and an even bigger heart.  His playful sense of humor brought smiles to many, and you could always count on him to lighten the mood - even in his final days. Brauny is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife, Frances; daughters: Karen Lienhart and husband, Rob, and Laura Hardeman and husband, Kevin; grandchildren: Chris, Brandon and Joseph; and sister, Florence Moffitt. A celebration of Brauny Braunbeck's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, Georgia followed by a reception at the Braunbeck's home.

  8. Frannie:
I will never forget the first time I met Brauny. He had a way of making everyone feel like they were important and special. As you told me recently – he was your best friend, and that was so clear whenever I had the chance to see the two of you together. Please know that meant a lot to those of us who were lucky enough to witness such love.

Sending many hugs across the miles, and prayers for peace to you and your family….

  9. We are so sorry for your loss. You are all in our thoughts and prayers as you walk through these days.

Scott, Roxanna, Michael, Julia & Nicole

  10. Although I never got the chance to meet Brauny in person, he demonstrated his wonderful sense of humor in every phone conversation we had. I am so happy you both had the chance to celebrate your 50th anniversary “your way”! You may have lost the love of your life, but all of us share in your grief. As you travel this new path, know there are those around you who love you and will be there for you.

    Hugs,
    Ann

  11. Fran, Laura and family,

I am so very sorry for your loss and and keeping you close in my thoughts.

  12. It is so hard to believe that my Uncle Boots is no longer with us. We don’t realize how much we love someone until they’re gone. I really loved Boots and will miss him. I loved his wonderful sense of humor and his beautiful smile. I’m so glad that Paul and I got to see him on one of our vacation trips in the past. Paul and I were planning a trip to go down to see Boots and Fran this summer. I wish that we had gotten down to see them this Spring when he was still with us.He was always there for me like a big brother who I turned to for advice on several occasions throughout my life. I wish I could be there for the celebration of his life but know that I will be there with you in spirit. I love you Aunt Fran, Karen, Laura and families. I still plan on coming down to visit all of you as soon as I can later this year. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Debbie and Paul

  13. I have known Brauny as a fellow agent with Columbian Life for over 20 yrs. He was always encouraging me in the business. He will certainly be missed. May God’s blessings be with the family.

  14. “I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.”
    – Leo Buscaglia

  15. It’s hard to believe that Uncle Boots has passed away, but we all know he is in a better place now. Do to memory issues, I don’t remember much beyond a few encounters with him and Aunt Fran, but what I do remember is that he was a warm loving man with a playful sense of humor, fun to be around, and so full of energy. We love him very much and always will.. We wish we could be there for his memorial and a “Celebration of His Life”, but we are sad to say we will be unable to attend. We love you Aunt Fran, Karen, Laura and families. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Skip and Diane

  16. My heart goes out to you and the family, this was such a shock. Brauny was a very special person and will be greatly missed. May God bless you and keep you and the family and be gracious unto you, may his face shine upon you and give you peace. You are in my prayers. God Bless.

  17. We are so very sorry. Sending ove and prayers to all of you! We are honored to help celebrate Brauny’s life today.
    Much love,
    Adena, Jay & Family
