Born in: Atlanta, Georgia
Resided in: Lilburn, Georgia

It is with profound sadness that the family of Edward Arthur Grove announces his passing on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the age of 84. He was a beloved father, husband, and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ed was born April 3, 1940, to Elmer and Omie Grove in Atlanta, GA, where he spent his formative years. He attended Georgia Institute of Technology and then went on to become a successful entrepreneur, owning multiple businesses – Little Pigs BBQ, Gwinnett Sanitation, Inc., North American Travel, Vision Windows & Doors, and Hall Sanitation – as well as various real estate ventures. In 1988, he was awarded Businessman of the Year in Gwinnett County, and for many years he was affiliated with Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful. Throughout his career, Ed was known for his hard work, mentorship, and drive. He has been praised by so many who worked for him over the years.
While he had the opportunity to travel around the world, Ed was happiest when he was at home or at the lake in “Paradise Grove”, spending time with his family and friends. Those closest to him say he had a huge heart, a kind smile, and always had a great story to tell!
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Patricia, his daughters Sherri (Joe) and Joanna (Dan), and his granddaughters, Vanessa and Michelle, and his precious dog Trumpet. He made a difference in so many lives, and his memory will be cherished forever.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held for family and friends later (to be announced). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Edward A. Grove to Eagle Ranch at P.O. Box 7200, Chestnut Mountain, GA 30502, or online at eagleranch.org.
