Edward Hoffman, age 77 of Lawrenceville, Georgia and formally of Mt. Holly, NC died peacefully in his sleep on April 19, 2018. He retired from General Motors Parts Division after 37 years. He is survived by his wife, Dianne Russell; daughter, Melanie Keeling (Chris), son, Scott Hoffman (Pam) and grandchildren, Natalie Delgado (Daniel), Morgan Keeling, Dr. Ashley Hoffman, Nathan Hoffman, and Ryan Hoffman. He is also survived by his sister, Ann Emmett and brother, Hoyle Hoffman (Nancy), and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everette and Elizabeth Hoffman, brothers, Jim and Hugh Hoffman and sisters, Jean Wilson and Rebecca Hager. He enjoyed spending time with his family having cookouts and bonfires in his backyard and working in his yard. He especially loved his loyal companion, Foxy, who never left his side. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Centerview Baptist Church, 2300 Acme Road, Belmont, NC 28012 The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046. 770-277-4550. What a proud Grandfather, Father and Husband, Eddie was. One of my favorite quotes from my Aunt Honey that gets me through the toughest of times is, “Our lives are richer because of the friendships we have made, the traditions we have established, and the memories we will cherish forever.” What a legacy he has left.   14. Having known Eddie for 60 years it will be hard to imagine him not here.He was always a fun guy to be around.This world is a better place because he was once with us.Blessings for all his family at this time.

It really touched my heart for you to allow me to visit Eddie in your home. I will always treasure that short and sweet time I was able to e with him and his family.   17. So sorry to hear about Eddie passing. I was out of town and did not get back in time for his visitation. I have some wonderful memories of working as supervisors together at General Motors Parts. He and I made supervisor at the same time.

  18. I am so sorry for your loss. God is the source of life and an enemy of death. His Word can help strengthen us during difficult times like this. Acts 24:15 gives a wonderful hope of a resurrection for those we have sadly lost in death. May God provide comfort and peace to the family.
