Elsie was bom on October 12, 1926 to William and Gertrude Lofstrand. After graduating from High School in Niagara Falls, she worked for the Carborundum Company, where she met her future husband John Bader. Immediately after their marriage in 1955, the couple moved to Sao Paolo, Brazil. Work then took them to Los Angeles (where their son Robert was born), Germany, Venezuela, Mexico, and Spain. Elsie and John retired to Gwinnett County in 1982.
Elsie was an avid golfer, quilter, and bridge player in earlier years and was a devoted member of St Barnabas Anglican Church in Dunwoody, Georgia.
She is preceded in death by her husband John Bader and brother Kenneth Lofstrand. She is survived by her son, the Reverend Canon Robert Bader, Assisting Priest at St Barnabas Church.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Barnabas Anglican Church, 4795 N Peachtree Rd, Dunwoody, GA on January 9,2020 at 11.00 a.m.
Burial will be at Riverdale Cemetery in Lewiston, New York, at a later date.
