Eric Jerome Billingsley was born May 10, 1965, in Bronx New York. He relocated with his mother to Los Angeles California in 1977 at the age of eleven. After graduating from Nogales High School West Covina in 1983, Eric left California and Lived in NY from 1984-2010. He was baptized at Union Grove Baptist Church, Bronx, NY in 1984 and became a member. He held jobs at Eastern Airlines, and Head Superintendent of Trinity 3nl in the Bronx for 20yrs. He was a Licensed Barber and He was also pictured in children science books until he was eight years old: He was a caregiver for his grandfather six years and helped his grandmother until he got sick in 2009. Eric was diagnosed with diabetes over twenty-two years ago. When he had congestive heart failure in 2010, Eric relocated to his mother’s home in Stone Mountain Georgia. Under Emory University Hospital’s care, he lived twelve years in his mother’s care until he passed on April 5, 2022. He was pursuing a car service business before Covid hit. He loved to travel, enjoyed music, sports, games, current affairs, and the Bible. Moms nickname for him was Google. Ask him question and he had the answer. If not, he’d Google it. He could also fix most anything or diagnose the problem. His disability kept him from doing any physical work. He was a good Father who took care of his responsibilities and loved his children. He touched lives wherever he went and would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. He leaves to cherish his memory; mother, Ms. Selma Sledge (Eric being her only child), Stone Mountain, GA; family members in Chicago; father, Mr. and Mrs. Porter and Betty Billingsley; two sisters, Dominique Billingsley and Tasha Gadlen; children, Rian Billingsley, Christopher Billingsley, Rebekah Pare’s Gamble, Erika Jazmine Billingsley and Jason Billingsley, Bronx NY; aunts, Sandra Holder, Cynthia Pratt, (Uncle Tony] Anthony and Barbara Kelly Somersall; and a host of cousins in the USA and Curacao, Netherland Antilles.

Physically your not here, but I know that this is not the end,when I pray asking God to help me get through the day, you know who I’ll see, My Brother, My friend!!!! We love u bro. So,in His mercy, He took you off the battlefield, to rest. We always think we have more time than we actually do. I’m glad to have been your wife, and shared love and life with you, and to have had time to reconnect again, before you had to leave. You were many things, to many people, but what really matters is that you were, and will always be, loved.
