Evelyn Jeanette McEachin

Evelyn Jeanette Myers McEachin, age 77, of Lawrenceville, Georgia left this earth peacefully and went to be with Jesus early Tuesday morning, 12/22/2020. Jeanette was born August 1, 1943 in Coffee Springs Alabama. She graduated from Coffee Springs Highschool in 1961. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She met the love of her life in January 1964 and they were married on August 1, 1964. They shared many things including their birthday and wedding anniversary being the same date. They were best friends and were not often seen apart from one another. Jeanette accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior as a young child and lived her life faithfully serving Him in all she said and did. She was a member of North Metro Baptist Church and Roy Latham’s Sunday School class. She was a career federal employee and worked in many different departments. She loved her son Jerry Jr. and she was always there for him and his wife Amy. She adored her three grandsons and was very active in their lives attending and supporting everything they did growing up. Her 2 great grandchildren brought her pure joy. She was a friend to many and cherished their friendships.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jerry Franklin McEachin, Sr, in May 2020; parents, Brady and Lucille Myers; brother, Travis Myers; Sisters, Loise Herren, Joyce Watson, and Betty Hudson.

Jeanette is survived by her son Jerry Franklin McEachin, Jr (Amy) of Lawrenceville, GA; Grandsons, Jerry Franklin McEachin III (Karen) of Lawrenceville, GA, Nicholas Allen McEachin (Ashley) of Lawrenceville, GA, Zachery Tyler McEachin (McKenzie) of Portsmouth, VA; Great Grandchildren, Jayce Allen McEachin and Reya Isabel McEachin and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service is planned for Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Family will receive family and friends from 10:00- 11:15 AM. Funeral service is at 11:30 AM with Rev. Frank Cox officiating. A graveside service will follow at Floral Hills Memory Garden in Tucker, GA.
