She attended Raymond High School and was very active in music playing piano and singing.  She graduated from Hinds Jr. College with a degree in Music with focus in Piano.

On June 20, 1944 she married C.D. Spell.  They were married for 66 years. 3. Ken, Marcia and families: We are all thinking of you at this time of great loss. It’s been many, many years since we’ve seen Florene or any of you. Your Mom loved to get phone calls from Norma and Barbara and others, so we have kept up with you through the years. May you find comfort in knowing family and friends are here for you and share in your sorrow. No one can ever take the place of your mother. She loved you all.

  4. CandleImageWe are sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers for comfort, peace, and healing are with your family.
