April 19, 1937 ~ July 5, 2022

Born in: Des Moines, Iowa
Resided in: Dacula, Georgia

DACULA, GA – Frances Joy Heathcote went home to Heaven Tuesday, July 5th, 2022, at her home with her daughter and husband by her side. Frances was born in Des Moines, Iowa April 19th, 1937, to Willis James Honnold, and Enid lone Honnold (Goodrich). She married her high-school sweetheart, Jerry D. Heathcote in 1953, and lived in Des Moines for many years, raising 4 children and serving her church by being involved with youth activities like Vacation Bible School and doing crafts for friends and family, that many still have and cherish. She enjoyed serving the Lord whether being a former Pastors’ wife, going on Mission trips, or helping with AWANA, and Child Evangelism Fellowship. She crocheted, did ceramics, and made quilts for not only her family to enjoy, but also was a part of the Hebron Cut up’s, and Newborns in Need; Which provided baby clothing and quilts to the surrounding hospitals in the Atlanta Area and the Manager Ministry in the Appalachian Hills. Truly, she was the woman that Proverbs 31:20-31, praises her for how she was in life!

She was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jerry D. Heathcote of Dacula GA; brother, Gale & Christine Honnold of Morefield, WV; Sons, Dan & Donna Heathcote of Hudson, ME, and Thomas & Kay Heathcote of Overland Park, KS; Daughters, Teresa & Timothy Cochran, of St. Marys, IA, and Kathryn Coganow of Dacula, GA; 11 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.
