A celebration of life for Geraldine Wages Knight, 84 of Lawrenceville will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00- 4:00PM & 6:00- 8:00PM on Thursday, December 27, 2018. She was born on July 5, 1934 to her loving parents, Ed and Grace Wages. Her mother said she almost came into this world with a “bang!” A graduate of Bethesda High School, she was a beautiful young lady, a bright student and adored by her many friends. In 1954, she married the love of her life, Glenn Knight. They were blessed with two children Sabrina and Steve. They built a house on Highway 29 in the Bethesda community and lived there 41 years before moving into Lawrenceville. She not only loved and nurtured her own children but also many children of other working mothers. She helped raise and inspire them to be the fine adults they are today. An eye for detail and a green thumb was evident by her sparkling clean house and beautifully manicured yards. Her love of crystal, glass and angels was reflected throughout her home. She and her family were avid travelers, driving from coast to coast, and in the camper, creating many memories. She was devoted to her family, friends and church, Bethesda United Methodist. She always sought to see the good in others and to lend her helping hands to those in need. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Golden Wages and Grace Hammett Wages and brother Charles Wages. Loved ones who will forever hold her in their hearts are her devoted, caregiving husband of 64 years, Glenn Knight, daughter and son in law, Sabrina and Curt Frederick of Cornelia; son and daughter in law, Steve and Tracy Knight of Bethlehem; granddaughters and husbands Salina and Greg Cook of Macon, Shaye and Micky Huff of Demorest, Shauna and Josh Fincher of Winder, Cheyenne and Brian Warner of Lilburn; great grandchildren James and Grace Cook, Micah, Macy and Milly Huff, Emma Grace, Mallory and Lorelei Fincher; sister in law Martha Ann Wages, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; her beloved dog, Cuddles. A heartfelt thank you is extended to Ali, Miracle, Joe, Camay and the other wonderful caregivers of Kindred Hospice and to caregiver Theresa. May her love and devotion be reflected in our lives. Those desiring may send flowers or make donations to Bethesda United Methodist Church, 444 Bethesda Church Road Lawrenceville, GA 30044.
