Erwin Otto Giessen

Erwin Erv Otto Giessen, 94 Problem solver, woodworker, artist and fisherman. Loving husband for 65 years to Lorraine Herold and father to Cynthia John Brouwer deceased and Jeffrey Mary Giessen. Born in Chicago, IL to Otto and Marie Pfeiffer. Grandfather to four: Elizabeth Brouwer Jones, Christopher, Corey and Casey Giessen. And great grandfather of six: Issac, Lucas, Abigail & Madeline Jones, Mia & Liam Giessen. Adoring uncle to Marilyn Durante Bill and Wally Wassel. And uncle to Wayne Herold, Vickie Herold Sallas, Karen Herold Cozen and Gary Herold. World War II veteran. He will be interred alongside his daughter at the Union Cemetery in St. Charles, Illinois in a private ceremony. A memorial service will be held at Peace Memorial Church in Palos Park, IL on Sunday, January 6, 2013.
