Harry J. Goodman, Jr. age 80, of Stone Mountain, GA died Thursday, March 17, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Lawanna S. Goodman; sons, Harry J. "Jim" Goodman, III and wife Chris, Robert K. "Bob" Goodman and wife Rosemary, daughter, Julianna Ryan and husband Mark; granddaughter, Taylor Goodman; grandson, Ethan Ryan; brother, David M. Goodman and wife Janet; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Goodman was a native of Atlanta, a graduate of Bass High School and attended Southern Tech. He was a Korean War Army Veteran, member of Stone Mountain First Baptist Church and longtime member of Ironworkers Local #387.

I learned today of the passing of Mr. Harry Goodman. I am so sorry for his loss and I will always remember him as a real mans man and a true American patriot.
When I was growing up, he treated me as family and I am better for having known him. I have thought of him and Mrs. Goodman many times through the years. May god bless the Goodman family.
