Guestbook

  1. Kay –
Mom & I so enjoyed Vern’s celebration of life memorial service – the sharing, caring & love. We have loved knowing Vern at Calvin Cove – and esp. loved seeing his life in pictures at the service. I have a copy of Billy Graham’s Hope for Each Day in my home because of his sharing a copy with us at Calvin Cove…I will always smile when I read it & will think of him!
He & I started each Wednesday with a hug & when I would say “So good to see you”, he would respond “And good be to seen” and then parted each Wednesday with a hug & “see ya next week, Lord willing”….he would always smile and say “Lord willing”. And I will never see or eat a piece of pineapple upside-down cake without thinking of his birthday. Enjoy those “sights, sounds, & smiles” that will take you back to memories of times spent together…..I will surely enjoy mine.

  2. Dear Joann,

I was Googling you to find out where you now are liviing and saw your Dad’s notice. This was about 3 weeks ago as I was getting ready to go to a EHS 50th Reunion Ct. planning meeting. I was happy to see that your Dad lived to a great old age and had mucho little children around him, including his 3 girls. I really do remember VERN, as you always called him.
Please let me know if you got this as it would be fun to catch up. Out reunion is on Aug. 18, 2012. More to follow but I’d rather reach you directly vs. going through the funeral director. Hope you are well. Hugs, Alice
