Harold Dean Grogan

Harold Dean Grogan, 87, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on January 7th, 2023. Harold was preceded in death by his wife W. Grace Grogan in 2011 and beloved granddaughter Wendy Green Marsh in 2021. He leaves behind son Wiley Keith Grogan and daughter Sheila Deane Hoffmeyer. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and his loving companion of almost 10 years Shirley Wilson.

Harold served in the U.S. Army as a tank mechanic. Harold owned and operated Grogan’s Garage Inc. in Lawrenceville, Georgia for many years. He was also a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Dacula, Georgia.

Harold loved his friends and family and was an avid animal lover. He had many cats and dogs throughout his life and loved spending time with them. Harold had a “green thumb” and planted many gardens around Gwinnett County. Harold also loved working on cars and trucks and had a passion for racing.

The family will hold a visitation on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 4-8 pm. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, with visitation from 10-11 am at Wages & Sons Funeral Home, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046.
