Harold Eugene King, 88, originally from Atlanta, died Saturday January 20, 2018, at his home in Jefferson, GA. Harold was born in Atlanta to the late Rev. James and Mary Hayes King. He worked in the bail bonding business in Atlanta for over 20 years. He was predeceased by his wife Ruby Jean (Boyd) King. Harold is survived by his brother Leon and Beverly King of Social Circle, GA; sister Elizabeth and David Allen of Social Circle, GA; son Gary and Shirley King of Snellville, GA; daughter Brenda and Tom Merrill of Miami, FL; and son Barry and Joyce King of Jefferson, GA; six grandchildren, four great-grand-daughters, and countless nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on 1 PM, Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Wages and Sons’ Funeral Home, 1040 Main Street, Stone Mountain, GA with interment to follow at Melwood Cemetery Visitation will be Monday, January 22, 2018 from 2 PM until 4 PM and 6 PM until 8 PM at the Funeral Home.   6. Didn’t know him as well as most, but he was always present at family gatherings. He was so pleasant to be around, and so precious with the grands and great grands. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of his life! He will be missed.
