Harriet Hobbs Hay, age 80, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015. She was born in Atlanta, GA and resided in Lawrenceville, GA.
Harriet was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Bill. Survivors include daughters: Nan Shipe & husband, Jerry; Vicky Leyva & husband, Edward; granddaughter, Shannon Sears; multiple nieces & nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Bethesda United Methodist Church with Rev. John Hobbs and Rev. Wade Hobbs officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made, in memory of Bill and Harriet Hay, to Bethesda United Methodist Church, 444 Bethesda Church Rd, Lawrenceville, GA 30044. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, July 24, 2015 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, 770-277-4550. Hi, Nan and Viki so very sorry for your loss I hope you can rest easier knowing your Mom is in a much better and happier place and she will never be in pain again.

My prayers are for the family as Mrs. Hay is with her Savior and her beloved husband. I will always have fond memories of camping trips and her treating me to cheese toast and hot chocolate.

Nan and Vicky, so sorry that will not be able to attend the service for your Mom as I will be out of state. She was a special lady and I will cherish memories of her and Bill, our Berkmar days and camping trips. Prayers for you and your extended family.
