March 5, 1926 ~ August 20, 2022

Born in: Neptune, New Jersey
Resided in: Peachtree Corners, Georgia

Helen May Addison, daughter of the late Bertha Outcalt and Alonzo Artis, departed this life on August 20, 2022.

She was born March 5, 1926, in Neptune, New Jersey, where she spent most of her life before moving to Georgia .

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph D. Addison, Sr., of 54 years and a son, Joseph D. Addison, Jr.

She enjoyed traveling to the Navy reunions with her husband and visiting friends. She also loved her coffee… The greatest joy for her was her grandchildren. She was always wondering what show or event they were having next, so she could attend.

Once she moved to Georgia, one of the grands or great grands visited every day and she always looked forward to that time with them. If you look around her room, it is filled with pictures and artwork from grands, her joy..

There will truly be a large void in our hearts without her, but we were lucky to have had her for 96 years and to have spent her final moments at her side.

‘Always a smile and she never complained.’

And not to forget; she was mu ma to everyone. Her given name by her first grandchild.

She leaves to morn: her daughter, Bertha Robinson(Wesley) of Georgia; her son, Alonzo Addison(Doreen), of New Jersey; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of cousins, nieces, and friends.
