Henry Ray Armstead

Henry Ray Armstead 66, affectionately known as Jr., of Stone Mountain Georgia departed this earthly life on January 6, 2022 at Emory hospital. Jr was born on June 24, 1955 in Carbondale Illinois. He was the son of Henry and Mary Armstead. Henry’s life passion was music. He played many instruments but the bass was his favorite. In his spare time he enjoyed the countless jam sessions with his band mates. He also enjoyed any home renovation projects and spending time with his grandkids. Henry leaves to cherish his memory, daughters Candi  Armstead of Stone Mountain, Georgia;  Denisha Armstead of Houston Texas, and Tamia (Thomas) Cooper of Olive Branch, Mississippi; 8 grandkids, 6 sisters and a host of nieces and nephews. Jr. was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Mary Armstead and son Maurice Armstead; 7 sisters and 3 brothers.
