Mrs. Irene Ruth Daunno, age 62, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Born April 26, 1959 to Henry & Ruth Schwager in Morristown, NJ. She graduated from Montclair State College where she met her future husband of 36 years, Paul. She gave birth to their daughter, Sarah, in 1989, and left her career to become a full-time Mom. They relocated to Georgia in 1994 and have resided in Lawrenceville for 23 years. She has been a faithful, devoted wife and best friend to Paul, mother to Sarah and daughter to Ruth. Irene loved caring for her family and often put them above her own wants and needs. She especially loved cooking delicious meals, bird watching and doing various crafts. She was a lover of all animals and cared for her dogs over the years like they were her own children. Irene was a committed follower of Jesus Christ and served as a greeter at her church welcoming those with a caring and kind smile. Preceded in death by her father, Henry Schwager (2007). Survived by her spouse Paul (Lawrenceville, GA); her daughter Sarah (Flowery Branch, GA); her mother Ruth (Lawrenceville, GA); her brother & sister-in-law Bruce & Laurie Schwager (Papua New Guinea), along with nieces, nephews and their families. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 16th from 5-7 PM at Wages & Sons Funeral Home, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Funeral Services officiated by Pastor Ty Blackburn will be held on Thursday, June 17th at 10 AM at Wages & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at Gwinnett Memorial Park. Flowers accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.

Paul: As your Brother in Christ; much love and prayers
Our love extends from our family to yours – both now and in the times ahead as our Lord tarries. You will see Irene again and so will we. And then we will know her better. Truly our Lord has come so we can have life, and that which is eternal. What an amazingly dear example of a godly woman. We miss her already.
I have such fond memories of Irene as my neighbor and friend. I’m so very sorry for your loss Paul, Sarah & family. Prayers for peace & comfort knowing she’s with Jesus????????
Irene was one of the first families we met at Providence Church and always exhibit the love of God. She loves the word of God and taking care of your family especially her dedication to serving her mom is glorifying to Christ.
Our prayers and love are with your family so much as you walk through these difficult days. Irene was such a glowing example of the believer. She cared so much for everyone who was blessed to know her. She will be missed so much but we look forward to our grand reunion in Heaven with her some day.

I am very sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family in this difficult time.
We will miss her in bible study (and many other times); It was so evident that she knew the Lord. It was a blessing to see how she treated her mother, with such love, care and honor. My neighbor attended Bible study with me for a season and remembers the kindness that Irene showed to her so often. I pray with others for your family that you may have the peace that only God can give.
Irene was a faithful leader in Bible Stidy Fellowship. I had the privilege of serving with her. She was much loved by all of us who knew her at BSF! Irene lived for the glory of God and I am grateful for the opportunity to know her! Well done good and faithful servant!

Dear Paul and Family,
What an incredible blessing Irene was to me. I met her at the Women’s Bible Study at Providence. I didn’t really know her until her storm came and God brought us together in the Spirit of love and unity. Such a Glorious God bringing us to sisterhood in Christ through text conversations. I carried her daily in my heart and prayers. And she carried my burdens to the Lord. Now she has reached the goal of her Salvation, Eternal Glory! I will miss her dearly yet Praise Our Lord for her friendship, love and kindness. Continued prayers and love and peace to you.
