Jacques Hebert Devilme, our beloved husband, father, grandfather was born to Lherisson Devilme (Sonson) and Lucy Deplume (mamman cici) on November 12, 1941. He peacefully passed away on May 19,2023 in Loganville Ga. At 8:00pm. He reached the age of 81 and 6 month.

His childhood and growing up happens in the family estate near Petion Ville, Berthe (Haiti). He attended school at the “freres of Petion Ville”. Later on, he developed his skills as a mechanic and there he has been working nearly most of his life at the Secretary of Transports (Ministere des Travaux Publics, Transport et Communications of Haiti).

On January 29, 1971, he was united to marriage to Josette Pierre at St Peter cathedral church in Petion Ville (Haiti). They established their home in the area Petion Ville community. Many happy times they shared together, as they raised their family of four three sons and one daughter. As a result of his generous spirit and pleasant personality, he was loved by many and his influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him. He has raised a number of family members (nephew, nieces, grandnephew and grandnieces) whom have always shown their gratitude.

As soon as gotten married, he answered God call to salvation and upon confession of his faith was called to serve in the well known eucharistic group “legion de Marie” affiliated to St Peter catholic church in Petion Ville (Haiti). He endeavored to embrace this faith in his life. He was a true servant of God.

He was also a loving and carrying person. Always enjoying helping others, thinking of others first. Which helped him to have a positive outlook and gave him fortitude when faced with adversity. When he started facing a few health challenges, he was ever grateful for God’s redeeming grace and mercy shown to him. About 5 years ago his health began to fail, though medical aid was sought, his condition declined. Dad’s testimony was, “he had never felt so clean.”

His beautiful life will forever be cherissed in the lives of his children. Carline Devilme Louis of Loganville, Webert Devilme of Stone Mountain, Kervens Devilme of Haiti and Donald Devilme of New Jersey.
