  1. CandleImageTo the Bentkowski family and friends, I worked with Ben at the EPA and found him to be one of the friendliest, smartest, coolest person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Ben always showed patience and care. He was optimistic and encouraging. There is a hole in my heart and I am saddened by his passing. Please accept this expression of reverence and condolence — for I, too, will miss him. May God continue to bless and keep you all.

  5. CandleImageI am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Ben for over twenty years, generally on cases involving complex hydrogeology. Ben always made it a joy talking about geology. He will be missed so very much at EPA, where he was always a consummate professional and a huge contribution.

  6. CandleImageThe Bedrock’s Song
Beneath our feet, the bedrock sings,
A song of stability, of ancient things.
Foundation of the world, so vast and wide,
In the bedrock’s song, we confide.
…… I will miss him but will not forget him. May your memories bring you peace.

  7. I served on the Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Geologists with Ben for many years. He was considerate, thoughtful, kind, and a pillar of hydrogeological knowledge. Last year, we crossed paths at a conference and he offered to provide links to technical resources. He was passionate about science and always happy to help. I am thankful for the time I had to spend with Ben.

  8. I am shocked and so sorry to hear of Ben’s passing. I enjoyed knowing him and working with him some with EPA.
