James H. Cowan of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed peacefully on December 31, 2024. Jim was born on June 20, 1930, to the late Althea and Leonard, Sr. Cowan.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death, by his siblings Roger, Leonard, Jr., and Ellen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lucia. His children along with their spouses; Cristina, Victoria (David), Richard (Deidra), Randall (Heather) and honorary daughter, Karen. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Ridge, Thomas, Ryan, Avery, and Reese.
He proudly served his country as an instructor in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed terribly.
A private Funeral Service will be held at 12:30PM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in the Chapel of Wages & Sons Funeral Home, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway Lawrenceville, GA 30046. If you wish to send flowers in memory of James, please send them directly to the funeral home.

Jim was a brilliant man. Positive, caring and loved his family fiercely. I have so many memories of him that I will always cherish. I caught my first fish with him, had my first waffle house and loved to visit him at bass pro!
I will miss him deeply as will we all.
