Jean Marie Daniel, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on November 14, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on September 7, 1939, in Buffalo, NY, to Albert and Adele Ackerman, Jean’s life was a tapestry woven with compassion, joy, and devotion.

Jean was a dedicated and accomplished individual who graduated from Kenmore High School in 1957 and furthered her education at Bryant & Stratton Business School from 1957 to 1959. In 1982, she embarked on a career as a purchasing agent at McBurney’s Corporation, a role she held with pride until her well-earned retirement in 2007. Her professional endeavors showcased her work ethic, diligence, and commitment.

A woman of faith, Jean was a devout Catholic who found solace and strength in her spiritual beliefs. She shared 65 years of marital bliss with her loving husband, Drennen Lee Daniel, a testament to the enduring power of their love and commitment.

Jean’s zest for life extended far beyond her professional and spiritual pursuits. An active and vibrant soul, she enjoyed playing tennis with her husband and was a proud member of the Silver Stars Square Dancing Group. Jean was an avid traveler, exploring the world with her husband, family, and friends. Her love for adventure also led her to embrace clogging, Jazzercise, and evening walks with her cherished neighborhood best friends.

She had a special place in her heart for her family, delighting in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean’s home was filled with love, laughter, and the joyful sounds of family gatherings. Her kindness, care, and nurturing spirit made her a role model for the generations that followed.

Jean’s life was not only marked by her achievements but also by the love she showered upon her family. She was a loving, caring individual with a wonderful sense of humor, and her ability to bring joy to those around her will be deeply missed.

Jean Marie Daniel was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Adele Ackerman, her brother William Randall, and her son John Paul Daniel. She is survived by her devoted husband, Drennen Lee Daniel, her son Alan Daniel (Jackie), her brother Thomas Ackerman, four grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046. A funeral mass will take place at 2:00 PM on November 21, 2023, at Saint Lawrence Catholic Church 319 Grayson Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, followed by an interment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth, Georgia 1832 Pleasant Hill Rd, Duluth, GA 30096.
