It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffry William Valentine, who departed this life on February 28, 2025, in Atlanta, GA. Born on September 23, 1962, in Baldwin Park, CA, Jeff graced the world with his warmth, humor, and a spirit that made everyone feel valued and celebrated.

Jeff was the beloved son of Teddy Valentine and Peggy Thurmond, both of whom have preceded him in death, along with his stepmother, Donna Valentine, and sister, Maschelle Saunders. His legacy of love and connection will continue through those he leaves behind: his devoted wife of 24 years, Robin Eckman Valentine; his children, Matt Eckman, Truett Eckman, and Chloe Valentine; grandson, Hayden Eckman; as well as his siblings, Todd Valentine, Rick Valentine, and Coleen Valentine.

A proud graduate of Mesquite High School, Jeff embarked on a career in inside sales and tech support, where he was known, not only for his professional skills, but also for his infectious laughter and ability to connect with people. His immeasurable love for his family and friends made everyone feel welcomed and cherished, as he always took the time to celebrate all the little moments in life.

Jeff’s passions also spanned praying for those Falcons’ narrow victories or arguing for the most superior superhero in Marvel or DC, pushing for a poker win, shocking everyone with his SingStar performances, and loving the laughter and camaraderie of family game night. As a movie buff and voracious reader, Jeff shared strong recommendations to whomever he met.

Jeff had an uncanny ability to lighten any moment and bring a smile to anyone, even in difficult times. Family and friends will forever remember him for his kindness, his welcoming nature, and his unwavering support.

Jeff’s life will be honored on Saturday, March 8, 2025, with visitation 10:00 am to 11:00 am, and service 11:00am – 12:00pm at Wages and Sons. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Donate Life America at DonateLife.net/Contribute, to honor his kidney transplant.

  8. CandleImageWe are praying for you all each and everyday. Jeff was such a blessing to have in this world. I know I hadn’t gotten to see him much these past years but growing up he was always so kind and welcoming to me. He had such a playful heart and always made it fun to be around him. I know he will be missed by all but take comfort in knowing the love he poured out to everyone will be reciprocated to those we interact with in his honor.

  9. Jeff was such a big kid at heart and kept us laughing at work (Logical Choice Technologies). I turned to him so many times when I had technical questions about our product we were installing and no matter how silly the question seemed to be to me, he was always very respectful with his answers and explained it to me in a way I could understand. Jeff was truly one of a kind and will be sorely missed by anyone lucky enough to be a friend or colleague. My condolences to the family Jeff leaves behind, especially Robin and the apple of his eye, Chloe!

  10. CandleImage“Always a smile, instead of a frown, always a hand, when one is down. Always true, thoughtful and kind, wonderful memories Jeff left behind.”

My thoughts and prayers are with Robin, Matt, Chole, Hayden, Truett and family.

  11. CandleImageJeff was a positive light bringing just the right mix to our MR family. No matter the situation, Jeff fun spirt and joyful heart always looked on the bright side of life! May thoughts and prayers with Jeff’s family and friends. May your sweet memories help bring comfort and always bring a smile to your heart!
