Retired Msgt Joe Nathan Greene was born June 5, 1951 in Beaufort, South Carolina to the late Willie Green Sr. and Geneva D. Green. He was the fifth child of six children. Preceding him in death were his two daughters, Shiwanda Nicole Greene and Alexandria Michelle Greene; a grandson, Christopher Alexander Greene; his brother Willie Green Jr; and sisters Bettye B. Green and Jessie G. Jenkins. Joe graduated from St. Helena High School in 1969. He then enlisted into the United States Air Force where it gave him the opportunity to travel the world. His favorite country was Greece. While in the military he often put his passion for music to use by disc jockeying parties and special events. He retired from the Air Force in 1992 after serving 22 years. On Friday, October 27, 2017, Msgt Greene entered into eternal rest at his home. He leaves surviving his loving and devoted family: his daughter, Pamela R. Greene of Lawrenceville, Ga; his son, Terrance D. Green of Fayetteville, NC; two granddaughters, Tiara and Trinity Green of Fayetteville, NC; a grandson, Christian M. Greene of Lawrenceville, Ga; two step-children, Tomashia Wilson (Larry Sr, Tatyana, and Larry Jr.) of Las Vegas, NC and Timothy Miller of St.Helena Island, SC; a special "son," Frederick Walton Barham; brothers, James Greene and wife, Lethel of St. Helena Island, SC, Oscar Greene and wife, Maria of Columbus, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends. Out of respect for Joe's final wishes, there will be no funeral services. A memorial service is being considered at a later date and time. In lieu of flowers, donations and cards can be sent to Pamela R. Greene c/o Wages and Sons Funeral Home and Crematories, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy Lawrenceville Ga 30046.
