John L Hendrix, 85, of Lawrenceville, passed away on February 21, 2014..
John L was born on February 27, 1928 in Douglasville, GA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt and Blanche Hendrix as well as, wives, Margaret Burton Hendrix and Ann Greer Hendrix.
He is survived by his son, Johnny and Andrea Hendrix and a grandson, Cody Hendrix all of Lawrenceville.
He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post 233 in Loganville.
Visitation will be held at Wages & Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville on February 23, 2014 at 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Burial will be held at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta on February 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.

Dear friends … I’m so sorry for your loss of Granddaddy. He was such a fine man, and I know that he lives on in your hearts, as well as the hearts of those who knew him. What a shame that all children can’t have such a kind and loving grandfather. Cody is so blessed to have had this man as such a strong influence in his life. I know you will cherish your memories.

I am so sorry to hear about John L. I did not know about his passing until Sunday night after church. Just know that I will keep all of you in my prayers during this hard time. Remember that he is free of pain now and you will see him again one day.
