July 26, 1988 ~ January 12, 2022

Born in: Lawrenceville, Georgia
Resided in: Statham, Georgia

John “Paul” Weeks III, born July 26,1988 died on January 12, 2022 after an eighteen year fight with addiction.

He lived life with enthusiasm and a smile on his face. He loved music, his dogs, cooking, camping, golf, tye dye and Mariel. He is survived by his parents, John and Ann Weeks and his younger brother, Carver. Paul had numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who will grieve their loss. Paul was a friend to many. He will be missed by everyone who had a chance to know him.

He mourned the loss of many friends to addiction. He often spoke of friends who had died and how much he wanted his own pain to stop, for death to stop. He was a mentor to other people suffering with addiction and was willing to provide emotional support to anyone who was struggling. He also encouraged parents to seek comfort from us. We learned that there is comfort in supporting anyone affected by addiction. A strong support system is vital to recovery.

  3. CandleImagePaulie my man, im in facebook jail as we always were and cant say what i want on your page.

I never thought id meet a friend from ITH…having to this, is NFH at all. When i came up to seattle a few years ago, i gained a friend. A life long friend. Even if it wasnt very long..you were a good man and like many of us you had your demons. I know you fought hard against those demons. Since the day i heard, i looked everyday to see if the group was messing with us as they always do. My heart goes out to your family and close friends.. i wish we got to hang out more, even maybe go to a music festival. You are awesome my guy and you will not be forgotten. And when those demons show their face to us, we know you helping us fight. I love you man. Rest easy. #taxationistheft

  5. CandleImageIt is with a heavy heart that I think about Paul and so wish he had won the battle against this horrible disease. Knowing his memory and life will generate support and development for a cure to this wretched, cruel, heartless disease brings some light to the darkness. I wish holes in hearts to heal and wish your family comfort.

  6. Mrs. Ann & Mr. John,
Along with my deepest condolences, I offer my thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
May God continue to wrap you in love and provide all the strength needed during this time.
Paul was a ball of energy and will be deeply missed!
    Love,

  7. All I can say is that everyone who knew Paul will miss him. I just hate this for those of us left behind for now. The only sliver of joy is that he is out of his pain and addiction and with God. And really, it is a joyous time for him and I know he would not want our hearts broken for long. I am so sorry for your loss and pray for the time that thinking of Paul brings a smile instead of pain. He was a good friend to Michael and I really enjoyed all the times they were together at my house through all those teenage years. Such a sweet, good looking and yet sometimes goofy guy. He will always have a tender spot in our hearts and I look forward to seeing him someday in the future in God’s glory!
