Joseph Larry Hamrick Sr, 81, of Lawrenceville, Georgia went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 29, 2024. Joe passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer.

Joe was born on March 11, 1943 and raised in Cordele, Georgia, then moved to the Atlanta area where he attended and graduated from Georgia Southwestern College. He had a 30 year career and retired from AT&T Telecommunications.

He loved his family and enjoyed all get-togethers on holidays throughout the years. He loved all sports, especially Golf, with his friends at Providence Golf Club where he was member, also with his friends at the Crystal Falls Golf Club. He played golf at some of the best golf courses in America and Mexico.
Joe is preceded in death by his father, George Milton (Mickey) Hamrick, his mother, Ida Virginia Capps Hamrick and his son, Larry Hamrick Jr. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patricia Kennedy Green, daughter Susan Alexander, son-in-law, Rick Alexander, a granddaughter, Lauren Alexander, a grandson, Ryan Alexander, a stepson Michael Jay Green, a sister, Ruth Rosser, niece, Karen Rosser, nephew, Rob Rosser.

A Memorial service will be held at Wages & Sons Funeral Home, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, Georgia on May 18, 2024. Visitation will be from 12pm – 1pm with a Memorial Service from 1pm – 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
