He is survived by wife of 58 years Jean Journey; son, Thomas Jr.; daughters, Virginia Journey, Sandra Swann, Shannon Dixon, and Roxanne Nieman; grandchildren, Jessica Journey, Miranda Swann, Justin Nieman; brother, Dwight Journey and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Journey was retired from AT&T after 43 years of service. He was a member of Lawrenceville Church of Christ, Lawrenceville, GA.

  1. Very sad to hear the news, and yet the Bible says happier is the day of ones death than the day of his birth … IF … Tom was ready … may God bless you and comfort you during this sad time

  2. I worked with Tom at CIGNA back in 1990’s. He was a wonderful man to know and work with.He was always there to help any of us.I know he is in a better place now and at peace. All of his CIGNA friends/co-workers remember him.

  3. I also worked with Tom at CIGNA, and he was a wonderful fellow. He never lost his cool – he was one of the most patient and kindest people I knew. I have many fond memories of him, and my condolences go out to his family and friends.
