Julia Carwile Morgan, passed away August 30, 2014. Mrs. Morgan was a lifelong teacher that taught all ages in DeKalb County Schools. In addition to teaching she was active in Avondale Pattillo UMC. She married Ashley Grantham Morgan Jr. in 1956. Mrs. Morgan is survived by her three children, Ashley G. Morgan III, Sandra Morgan Weaver, and Charles G. Morgan, and seven grandchildren. She would like to be remembered as one who loved and cared for children; and one who was accepting of all persons. Memorial service will be held Thursday September 4, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Avondale Pattillo UMC 3260 Covington Hwy Decatur, GA 30032, with Rev. John Donaldson officiating.

  4. I’m Ruth Morgan Doby’s daughter, Rosemarie Doby Giera. We are learning more about Julia’s husband from their firstborn, Ashley Grantham Morgan III. Good to establish contact. Ruth Morgan was Julia’s sister-in-law, Buddy’s sister.
