Obituary for Julia Ann Martin Wong
Julia Ann Martin Wong, 91, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 23. She is survived by: her son Robert Wong of Kennesaw, GA and her daughter Bonnie Wong Morgan (Nick) and granddaughter Andrea Morgan of Goose Creek, SC; sisters Celeste Long (Johnny) of Conyers, GA and Susan Howell (Jess) of CA; and, numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents Claude and Sue Martin and sisters Jane Carter and Patti Martin, and husband C. A. “Cats” Wong.
Julie loved all her family dearly and took great joy in the times that she shared with them. She also loved her church family associations through the years, particularly at First Baptist Atlanta, Scott Boulevard Baptist (Decatur), and Rehobeth Baptist (Tucker). Over the years she enjoyed being part of the youth and music ministries and enjoyed the many friendships that were made in these church families.
Her family wishes to express their deep appreciation to all who enriched Julie’s life with love, friendship, and kindnesses through her long life. Also, great appreciation is expressed to the staff of Meadowbrook Health & Rehab facility in Tucker where Julie was a resident in recent years and received such good care.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish to honor Julie’s memory, the family suggests making a memorial gift to the church or Christian ministry of your choice.

Guestbook

  1. Julie Wong was a special part of my life and always made me feel welcome and accepted. She was like a second mother to me, especially when I was in college and roomed with Bonnie. I am so glad she ran her race faithfully and is at peace with her Lord. I will always be grateful that God put her and the whole family in my life.

  2. CandleImageRest In Peace sweet Aunt Julia????I have fond memories of you from many years ago when I was a child.I remember you taking me to the Omni Atlanta Hotel to go ice skating.I had such a fun time with you and wonderful memories????

  3. I am so sorry for the loss of your dear mother, you have my heartfelt condolences. Please find comfort in God’s promises for the future found at John 5:28 and Rev. 21:4:” he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain…The former things have passed away”. We look forward to the fulfillment of that promise and it is sure to happen because God cannot lie. In the meantime he offers solace through his word and through prayer to help us to cope. Sincerest sympathy, Carol

    • ROBERT i AM so so SORRY. I HAD NO IDEA THAT DEAR JULIA HAD PASSED AWAY. My husband passed away about the same time so I was just not quite aware of everything else that was going on. I thought the world of your mother. She stayed with my mother in Knoxville for quite awhile while she was working here and everyone loved her, all of mothers neighbors. She was a lovely lady and I so regret that I didn’t know. You have my deepest sympathies Robert. even though quite belated.
