Keith Harold Phillips, 62, of Suwanee, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, after a three-year battle with cancer.

He was born on October 26, 1960, in Hahira, GA, to the late Harold Lester Phillips and Lorene Winters Phillips.

He loved tinkering, building, and was never without a project. Friends and family often referred to him as “Mr. Fix-It” or “MacGyver.”

A skilled home cook, he enjoyed coming up with new dishes to share with family and friends. He was known for his pecan pies and fried pork chops, as well as various other traditional southern eats.

He loved to spend time on the lake, and was always up for a boat ride or a “sea cruise,” as he often called it.

He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it, and he would volunteer to help before you could even ask. He was happy to help you repair your car, install a sink, or even give you guidance on how much chicken should cost at Kroger.

Keith was a loving husband and a proud father whose family meant the world to him. He would never hesitate to tell you that his top priority was his family.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lisa Phillips of Suwanee, daughter and son in law, Natalie and Tim Wolf of Canton, GA, son Nicholas Phillips of Suwanee, sister and brother-in-law Tawanda and Wil Waters of Douglas, GA, as well as several extended family members and friends who were like family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lorene, of Quitman, as well as his brother, William Phillips, also of Quitman.

Per his wishes, there will be no funeral service. His ashes will be scattered at Lake Eufaula on a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Sarcoma Foundation of America or the Emory University Winship Cancer Institute.

  1. CandleImageMy deepest sympathies to you and your family Natalie. Although I did not have the pleasure of knowing your father, I do know you and what a wonderful person you are and that speaks volumes to the kind of man he was to have raised such a wonderful daughter. Lots of love and prayers to you!
