Kevin Anthony Wells, age 25, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away in Atlanta, GA on Monday, May 4, 2020. He was born in Greenville, SC on September 15, 1994.

Kevin was preceded in death by grandparents Harold Bennett Arnold and Annette Freeman Arnold of Birmingham, AL; and Edsel Wells of Birmingham, AL. He is survived by his mother, Paula Denise Arnold Wells of Lawrenceville, GA; father, Larry Eugene Wells of Birmingham, AL; sister, Rhonda Renee Wells of Middlebury, VT; brother, Adam Michael Wells of Atlanta, GA; grandmother, Rose Ella Morein (Edsel) Wells of Birmingham, AL; and his little dog, Emma.

Kevin is survived by aunts and uncles DeVon Arnold Purvis (Robert) McDaniel of Hueytown, AL; Michael Dale Arnold of Gulf Shores, AL; Edsel Joseph Wells (Susan) of Mountain Brook, AL; John Reuel Wells (Denise) of Powder Springs, GA; Mary Claire Wells (Andrew) Griffith of Birmingham, AL. He is also survived by first cousins Brian Lee Purvis of Clay, AL; Jeremy Wayne Purvis (Brittany) of Margaret, AL; Matthew Keith Purvis (Julia) of Lexington, SC; Edsel Joseph Wells, Jr. of Mountain Brook, AL; Emily Grace Wells of Homewood, AL; Samuel John Wells of Powder Springs, GA; Jade Cara Shuck of Los Angeles, CA; Andrew Clyde Griffith of Birmingham, AL; Edward Wells Griffith (Jessica) of Mountain Brook, AL; Byron Sloan Griffith, III (Courtney) of Marietta, GA; and Claire Griffith Collins (Matthew) of Brookhaven, GA.

Kevin graduated from Peachtree Ridge High School (2012) and attended classes at Georgia Gwinnett College. He was an ardent fan of Auburn University football and enjoyed watching a wide variety of sports. He loved spending time with family and friends, traveling, multiplayer X Box games, and attending Auburn football games with his father and brother. He made many friends during his short life and was loved by many.

Funeral services at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046, 770-277-4550 on Saturday, May 9, 2020 will be limited to immediate family only. A public memorial for Kevin will be scheduled for a later date.

  29. CandleImageIt is going to be a very bad day. It was 2 years ago tonight that I got that awful call from the Medical Examiner in Georgia that you had passed. I had to inform your mom; your brother and your sister, your aunts and uncles and cousins. I know you are in a better place with Granny, Pappy and my friend, and now yours, Marty. So many have gone before you including your sister’s mom and your mom’s dad.

  30. Kevin, this is the 3rd Mother’s Day you have missed. Glad you and your Mom had Outback the Sunday before you passed, a week before Mother’s Day.

  31. Well Son, will miss you this Memorial Day weekend. Your brother Adam and I will be breaking bread this weekend.

  32. Next Sunday is Father’s Day, the 3rd we will have missed spending together. I wanted to write this now because I will be going into the Hospital next Friday for a procedure.
