  1. CandleImageMay the good Lord strengthen you in this time of grief. The loss of a child is always painful but the loss of your only son is heartbreaking.
Broken hearts are mended by God alone.
I pray that he mends yours,Ama.

    RIP Joojo.

  5. CandleImageAmisha…sending love to you and the girls. I do not have the right words to say that can fill the pain and the gap. Please know that you are surrounded by your and Kodjo’s friends and both of your families. I met Kodjo through Aba because she was my KSU baby first. Then I met Kuukwa and finally, Kodjo. I met his mama as well who became a friend. His Pa was a quiet yet profound man. And then Kojo brought you into my fold and you became my family as well. You have also gone through a lot of strife and loss in your life and Kojo was fiercely protective of you and your girls. At Nikky’s wedding, I got a chance to talk to him and he said that he could never have wished for a better life with you and his children. A man’s love and honor is often depicted in the way he talks about his love even when she is not there in the room. He loves you and would have stayed longer if he could. We stand with you today and always. We will now all be fiercely protective of you and your daughters because Kodjo showed us how. Sending love to Mama Wilson, Aba, Kuukua, and all siblings, family, and friends 🙏🏾🤲🏾

  11. CandleImageToday we celebrated Kodjo Wilson’s life in one of the most beautiful requiem services I have ever been privileged to be a part of. You see…Kodjo was my former student at KSU and a brother from another mother to other KSU brothers and sisters and extended family. The last time I saw Kodjo in person was during one of his KSU brother’s wedding in 2019. And true to form, we bantered about Manchester United and Arsenal as sworn football foes….yet recognized that our banter kept us connected. During the moments we spoke, he said that he was at a point in life that he was happiest and could not perceive anything more blessed than his life as a husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He also asked me how I was doing and when I was coming back home to Georgia. As an educator, I am always humbled that I get a front seat into my “kids'” lives and I never lose the significance of it. Today, I heard how much Kodjo impacted so many people with his radiance, smile, wisdom, fashion, banter, and never-ending optimism. Thank you Kodjo for showing us that love shows up in all different seasons and we must be present to embrace it at all levels. You fought hard to stay…and you would have stayed. But in your faith, God called you home so that you could rest in His arms. We promise to be there for your wife, Amisha Wilson , your daughters, Mama, Aba Wilson , Kuukua, and all your friends that love you. Rest in Peace Kodjo….let’s have that football banter when I see you next. 2 Timothy: 6-18

  12. CandleImageMy sincerest sympathies and condolences to your entire family for the loss of a husband, father, son, brother, and friend to so many.
