Laurie M. MacFarlane, age 56 of Lawrenceville, GA, died surrounded by her loved ones on June 25, 2015, following a 21-year battle with breast cancer.  She was born December 11, 1958 in London, Ontario to the late Beverly Killby.  She is survived by her loving husband Michael, her two children Samantha and Andrew, and her father David Killby. Laurie was a devoted mother, wife, and daughter.  She dedicated her life to caring for others as a registered nurse. A viewing will be held on June 30th, 2015 at Wages and Sons Funeral Home located at 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, GA 30046.  Family will be receiving guests from 6pm-8pm. Her funeral will be held at 11:00am on July 1st, 2015 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church located at 801 Tom Smith Road SW, Lilburn, GA 30047. The family would like donations to be made to Relay for Life c/o American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.  You may go to cancer.org or call 1-800-227-2345.

  1. We are no doubt living in critical times hard to death with as 2 Tim 3:1-5 states.
    However, God assures us at Rev. 21:4; that soon death will be no more and at John 5:28,29; ” 28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice+ 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.
    Rest assure that through God’s word the bible we can always find encouragement during times of distress.
