August 25, 1948 ~ November 23, 2021

Born in: Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania
Resided in: Lawrenceville, Georgia

Leonard “Len” Mish, age 73, passed away on Tuesday November 23rd, 2021 after an 18 month battle with ALS. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Tonya Mish, his daughter Jaime Kirk and son-in-law Dan Kirk, two granddaughters Jocelyn (12) and Kaitlyn (9), sister Nancy Strussion and brother-in-law Gene Strussion and their three daughters, along with so many friends that have become family.

Len was born in Wilkinsburg, PA on August 25, 1948 to Albert and Irene Mish. He graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Accounting. He worked as the manager at One Stop Printing and Signs for over 30 years.
Len could be found golfing most Saturday mornings. He and Tonya loved their “dock life” at Lake Lanier. From April through November, they spent every weekend on their boat where they relaxed, had fun and made lifelong memories and friendships. He also had a great love for traveling with his family and friends.

As an avid sports fan, he enjoyed football and baseball the most. For over 40 years, he was an Atlanta Falcons season ticket holder. He always cheered for the Braves and loved seeing them win the World Series this year. He also loved cheering for his college Alma Mater, Penn State.

In lieu of flowers we are asking for a donation to one of two ALS organizations. And please pray for a cure!

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. CandleImageFor what we’ve been blessed to share now fallen behind,
May we never forget and store in our mind,
Those memories of our past, and the dreams we held true,
And the friendship that was cherished, as we all loved you.

    Always,
    Eric and Mitzi Nyberg

  2. “Lenny” and his sister Nancy were always a part of my childhood growing up. The 3 of us cousins spent many Sundays playing at Baba’s, hiding buttons in the kitchen, and running around the outside of the house eating potato pancakes that Baba had made. The family is in my thoughts and prayers. Rest peacefully, Len.

  3. CandleImageI met Len around 1994. Our Friendship grew each and every Year. I am so Blessed
to be able to call Him “My Friend “ & that I
    will miss Him

  4. CandleImageI am so saddened to hear of Len’s passing. I knew Len through his work at One Stop Printing and Signs. For more years than I can remember, he always came to my aid when I needed to get a job done (which usually if not always included a fast turn around). No matter how busy they were, he was always willing to do what he could to help and the execution was always flawless. There are people whose lives cross with yours and while you may not know them as well as a family member or close friend, you still call them a friend. Len was one of those people for me. He was kind and good hearted – and always willing to lend a helping hand. Know that my heart hurts for the family he left behind. He left a lasting and positive impression on others during the life that he lived. I hope that provides some comfort during your time of grief. My condolences, Catherine Spillman

  5. Len and I were working associates for 37 years and that explains why I considered him as family. We shared the ups of success and the downs of disappointments. Len always went above and beyond the requirements of the job. As an employee he will be irreplaceable but as friend he will always be in our hearts and memories. Rest in peace.

  6. Len was one of my best friends in the early 2000’s before I moved away and we lost touch (primarily my fault). He was always willing to listen and help and I wish I had kept up with him and Tonya. Words can’t express how very sad I am for Tonya and his family, but I know that I am a better person from having known him.

  7. Tonya, there are no words that can express our sorrow. My family is so lucky to call y’all friends. Your wonderful memories will help you smile on good days and bad. His love for you was undeniable. May his beautiful soul Rest In Peace

  8. What a beautiful person and a prince of a guy. I admired his strength and how he kept his sense of humor even in difficulty! You will me missed Len and it was my privilege to know you !

  9. I am so sad to hear of Len’s passing. He was always such a stand-up guy that wore a smile. My heart goes out to his family as they grieve.

  10. Jaime and Family,

We send our sincere condolences. May God continue to comfort the bereaved family, as only He can.

    Love, Bryan and Shafeah Morrison

  11. CandleImageWe met Len & Tonya when we got our first boat and were on Dock 1. They became our dear friends. We have loved doing so many things with them and were devastated when Len passed away. He was always happy and so funny – a genuinely nice guy. You will be missed Len. We won’t forget you and we will take care of Tonya for you as best we can,
    Love Doris & Jerry Burge

  12. Capt Len. You lived, you loved and you captained. Thank you for being you. Your soul will light the lives of those of us who connected with you. You’ll forever light the dark distance before me like a lighthouse beacon in a storm. Time to rest now, cap. Love always.

  13. Sending hugs and love during this time of grief. I will cherish the many memories of family gatherings especially during theme birthday parties. May God’s comfort surround you and carry you through. Love you all.

  14. Jaime, Tonya and Kirk family,
Our hearts are broken and or family mourns with you all. You are in our thoughts and prayers today as you celebrate his life.
Love David, Denise, Kayla, Kimmi and Krissa Woods

  15. I met Len in 1983 when I started my stationery business. I never worried about any project I gave him- always done perfectly and with a smile. For 23 years I saw Len 3 times a week and we shared stories of spouses, children, dogs, life. Such a wonderful man and he will always be a part of my memories. He was a special friend. I am so sorry for his passing. I am also so sorry I did not know about his service. The video was beautiful.
