We will grieve because we miss her but there is joy for her in heaven. She is truly home now. What a joy it was to be her neighbor for 2 years at West Point and then staying in touch a lot over the years. One of our fondest memories is a visit in Germany when we could not get her to speak German to us. She said she spoke English to us and German to the Germans! We were blessed by knowing her. May God protect and comfort you as you deal with the reality of her being in another place.

  31. I have come back here several times trying to come up with words to express how much Lisa meant to me and nothing seems adequate. But I have so many happy memories of the short time we had as friends, I remember her tenacious spirit. And now I cannot even imagine your pain in losing her so young. I wish it wasn’t this way, it just doesn’t seem fair. I know your faith is strong and will guide you through but I hope that you feel tremendous love from everyone during this time and that it too will somehow help, even when we all feel so helpless in being able to say anything that will give you comfort. I truly believe that without her I would not be where I am today. She will always be a part of my story,

  32. Mike, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your boys during this difficult time of loss. May you and your family feel God’s peace, comfort, and strength. May your faith grow even stronger as you draw close to God and He draws near to you. I still remember the days that she led women’s bible study in your home in El Dorado Hills. She touched my life and so many women in those years as we all studied God’s Word together. She was a blessing!! Praising God that she is with her heavenly father in heaven.

  33. Stunned, we sit in silent wonder, casting all our care on Him because it is a care to Him – 1 Peter 5:7.

I hope to see you on Friday.
