Lloyd Vann Hathcock, 46, of Atlanta, GA, died unexpectedly Nov. 7, 2013, while on vacation in the Mediterranean with his loving spouse, Hugo Rosales. Mr. Hathcock is survived by his devoted spouse, Hugo Rosales and their pups of Atlanta. Married in New York City, Lloyd celebrated 11 years of love and unity, with the love of his life, Hugo. Together, they cared for each other, lived life to the fullest, traveled the world, enjoyed sunsets and sunrises across many sandy beaches, admired and lived amongst the locals of the charmed cities of the old worlds they visited, danced to their hearts content in Rome, Paris, New York City Ft. Lauderdale, Los Angeles and countless others wonderful cities, all while embracing the diversity of the world’s people, always loving and caring of all the souls they touched, regardless of differences in their walks of life, personal orientations, cultures and religious beliefs. Lloyd embraced people, never casted a soul out of his heart or life. Lloyd loved and lived honestly, with integrity, and kindness at his core – all while practicing a simple principle, “good begets good” with his loving spouse Hugo at every step and turn, with "neon hearts and day glow eyes" always sharing of their hearts and resources with others.
A “Celebration of Life” memorial service is planned at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, at Stone Mountain Chapel of Wages and Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Memorials may be made in Lloyd Hathcock’s honor to the “Lost n Found” (https://www.lost-n-found.org or 678-856-7824) charity in Atlanta to help the LGBT homeless.
