MADDOX, Francis Emory, age 84, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013, after a valiant struggle with Alzheimer's. Emory was born in Atlanta, GA on February 14, 1929. He attended Boys High in Atlanta, and later earned a degree from Georgia Tech while raising a family and working multiple jobs. He was an Army veteran. He was the district manager for General Services Administration GSA for 30 years, retiring in 1989. He was married to Cariene Davis Maddox for more than 50 years before her death in 2006. He is survived by four children: Angela McDannel Bruce Kuyper of Helena, MT; David Maddox of Sandy Springs; Donna Randy Dupree of Cumming and Kim Maddox of Canton; four grandchildren: Sheri Maddox; Brian Maddox; Kelly Maddox; and Melissa Dupree; and two great-grandchildren: Brady Maddox and Daylen Maddox. He is survived by a sister, Gail Paul Synder of Douglasville and sister-in law, Louise Maddox of Stone Mountain Ga. A memorial service will be held at Bethelview Methodist Church in Cumming, GA on March 28 at 4:00 p.m. Family visitation from 2:30-4:00.
