Marci Cohen Shapiro, beloved mother, wife, nana, sister, teacher and friend went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 24, 2014.
To know Marci was to know the Lord.
Proverbs 31:26CJB: When she opens her mouth she speaks wisely and on her tongue is loving instructions.
Marci brought love and laughter with her everywhere; her compassion for people and life was contagious; you couldn’t help but smile when Marci came into your life; she always made time to pray with you; she always said “Let’s pray now”; she danced unto the Lord as if the Lord was dancing with her- with beauty that took your breath away; and her dedication and love for her family was steadfast and constant.
Marci lived her life full of joy even during the toughest circumstances; she was a joy and an inspiration to all who knew her; a true handmaiden of the Lord; she made you appreciate the simple things in life – she made the best pistachio cake and Niemen Marcus cookies; she loved her espresso chip frozen yogurt; her sense of direction or lack of; her ability to always be on Jewish Standard Time.
Marci leaves a true legacy for all of us who had the honor of being a part of her life.
Marci is survived by her son, Jordan and his wife, Sue; daughter, Cori and her husband, Val; her grandchildren, Isabel, Abigail, Danielle and Brenden, sister, Rone and niece, Taryn.
The family invites you to the Memorial Service being held at Temple Hakodash on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Will miss you deeply Marci! I will truly miss the way you loved the children. They were everything to you and you to them. My kids loved you so much. Thank you for always loving them like your own. We will continue to pray every day for you and your family. I hope your dancing heaven. Xoxoxoxoxo
