Marilyn (Lynn) Jean Henn, formerly Lynn Scruggs, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the age of 74, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Wichita, KS, Lynn lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a passion for both her career and personal pursuits.

A proud veteran, Lynn served in the Navy from 1967 to 1971. During her time in the Navy, she served as a Flight Assistant to Rear Admiral McPherson and his entourage, demonstrating her commitment to duty and excellence.

Lynn began her professional journey as a Training Business Manager for OGCI, dedicating 15 years to the company in Tulsa, OK. Her commitment and expertise left an indelible mark on the organization, and she continued to contribute her skills even after retiring from a consulting position in 2005.

Lynn held an associate’s degree from Tulsa Junior College, showcasing her dedication to education and personal growth. Her intellectual curiosity was matched only by her creativity, as she enjoyed drafting, art, and drawing throughout her life.

A devout Catholic, Lynn found solace and strength in her faith, which she shared with her loved ones. Her kindness and generosity were known to all who had the privilege of crossing her path. Lynn’s warm heart and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

In addition to her professional and military accomplishments, Lynn had a vibrant personal life. She had a passion for travel, reading, sewing, dancing, and creating American Girl doll clothing. Large puzzles became a beloved pastime for her, reflecting her love for challenges and problem-solving.

Lynn is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Anthony and Patricia Jean Schreck, and her son Richard Scruggs. She is survived by her devoted husband, Anthony Henn, her son Anthony Scruggs, her sisters Margaret (William) Coupland and Betsy (Greg) Avery, and her two grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Lynn’s life will take place at a later date. Services are being compassionately handled by Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
