Mark Dowell AKA “Pops” was a Journey man of HVAC in Raytown, MO for most of his life, and also graced the workforce with his skill set for many years in Gainesville, GA. He was a hard worker, a jack of all trades and possessed the ability to fix almost anything. He loved the water, work, beer and fun BUT most of all he loved his children and loved his grandkids “BIG”! “Pops” never met a stranger, hence his many friends he’s made along the way!

Survivors include, his ex-wife and lifetime friend, Kimberly Krause of Dacula, GA, mother of his children Amber and Brent Dowell, daughter-in-law Rebecca Dowell; and Teresa Barclay of Raytown MO, mother of his son, Tyler Dowell.
A nest of grandchildren, including Zoë, Zion, and Zekai of Buford GA; Devon, Pierce, Jaycelyn and Trace of Hoschton, GA. He also leaves behind his eldest brother, Dennis Dowell and sister-in-law Linda Dowell of Overland Park, KS. His nieces and nephews who loved him dearly include Michelle Dowell of Indepenence, MO, Carli Dowell of Costa Rica, Stephen and Stacie Dowell of Raytown, Mo.

A Going Home Celebration of Life will be held in Hoschton, GA Saturday, September 4th.
The service will be outside, please wear casual attire, and feel free to bring any pictures and all your memories as we come together to celebrate “Pops” life!

  6. CandleImageMark was a good friend of mine. I am very sorry to have only recently read of his passing. I am certain that he was a big family person. I knew Mark back in KC and we had great times back in the day. I am also quite certain that we all have great memories of Mark and will certainly miss him very much.
