Mrs. Jeanette Chandler Ward, age 88, of Loganville, GA, formerly of Commerce, GA, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019. Jeanette was born in Commerce, GA to the late Alger Nunn and Bertha Snipes Chandler. Jeanette was a homemaker until the children got older; she then worked at the Snellville, GA. Post Office for 20 years. She loved her work and loved the people on her route even more. Once she retired her and her husband became members at Unicoi Springs Resort. She was the champion at any and every game she played. From holey board to pool to chicken foot! She loved the people, the mountains and loved living life! She made many dear and special friends while camping. She was preceded in death by; husband of 69 years, Robert D. Ward; siblings, Almond Chandler, Mildred Chandler Ward Looney, Bernard Malcolm Chandler, Talmadge Chandler and a twin brother, Julius William Chandler. Jeanette is survived by; son and daughter-in-law Ron and Charlotte Ward; daughters and son-in-laws, Elaine and Chuck Hewatt and Michelle and Daniel Kelly. "Nana" had six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 1:00- 3:00PM with the Funeral Service following at 3:00PM in the Gwinnett Chapel of Wages & Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Purcell, Rev. Jeff Clegg & Rev. Richard Bumpers will officiate. Interment will follow at Snellville Historical Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the charity of your choice.   2. Jeannette and Miriam were our best friends and supporter. There was a time my brother and Ken was making to much noice in the clubhouse. When they came down they all clapped. Now they could play cards. You will be missed at Unicoi Springs Camping Resort.

  10. Michelle and family, I have such fond memories of your Mom and Dad…. well mostly your Mom! Ha! We had a lot of fun growing up jumping on the trampoline and running around the old neighborhood and Old man Pate’s field. Your Mom was always so sweet and always welcomed me with open arms. Michelle, I’m truly sorry for your loss, there is nothing like a mothers love and your Mom loved you with all her heart and sole. She is still with you in spirit but now she is rejoicing with our heavenly father and your Dad. Big hugs to you my sweet friend, may you find comfort in the love so many share for your Mom.

  13. May you find comfort knowing Jeannette is whole again with no pain and is smiling that sweet smile again. Mom and Dad, Bobby and Beulah Fowler, became friends with Robert & Jeannette through camping at Unicoi Springs. Jeannette truly did enjoy life, her friends, and any adventure that came her way. We are glad mom and dad were able to enjoy their retirement years with Robert & Jeannette truly enjoying life and dad is now reunited with them.
