Mary Gober of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on the morning of March 5, 2019 at her home.
Mary Gober was born on November 21, 1925 to Euzebee Reeves Peugh and James Isaac Peugh in Griffin, GA and was raised in Atlanta/Decatur, GA. Mary was one of 7 children and is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Byrd T. Gober, two children Sharon and Kathy Gober, grandson Matthew Gober and granddaughter Jessica Cribbs and all of her brothers and sisters. There is much rejoicing in Heaven with them now. Mary is the last of her generation and leaves behind three children, Bobbi Chadwick, Richard (Fran) Gober and Gary (Linda) Gober. Mary was also blessed with many grandchildren and she leaves behind Cathy (Steve) Whaley, great-grandchildren Hunter and Christian Whaley; great-grandchildren Jackson Gober, Tommy and Anthony (Tony) Cribbs; Diane Michel, great grandson Rob Michel; Anet Post and Patrick Stark; Kassandra and Lee Boswell and Nicole Pelky. Mary also leaves behind a loving niece Madelyn Proctor, great nieces, Terry (Joey) Briscoe, Kirby Sims and a host of great-great nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Saturday, March 9, 2019, 11:00 am, at First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Wages & Sons Funeral Home, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway Lawrenceville, GA 30046. 770-277-4550.
